I’m Tash. My love for art and creation has blossomed into Prime Petals, helping couples make their wedding and special occasion floral dreams a reality is an incredible experience and I’m extremely grateful for all that walk through my life.

At Prime Petals - NZ Florals, I am dedicated to sustainability and minimizing waste. My commitment to recycling is evident in our practices: reusing cardboard boxes and packaging materials for deliveries across the country. In situations where it is required to have more packaging, I source additional materials from my husband's workplace. In collaboration with a passionate friend who shares my values, we ensure that all floral offcuts are responsibly managed by delivering them to CREATIVE JUNK in Addington Christchurch. This not only prevents unnecessary waste but also contributes to innovative creations - like the greenery backdrop currently being crafted by CREATIVE JUNK. Through these efforts, we embody the ethos of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, ensuring that our 'junk' finds new life as someone else's treasure.

Artificial and Dried Florals are truly remarkable for any special occasion for exactly this reason. Not only are they a sustainable choice, but they also offer versatility in how they can be repurposed post-event, such as beautifying your living space with a long-living touch of nature.

Meet the Heart Behind Prime Petals Wedding Florals

Hi, I’m Tash — the heart behind Prime Petals.

I’m a mum to four wonderful (and very busy!) boys, so life is rarely quiet in our house. Before starting Prime Petals, I spent 23 years working in retail with the same company in a variety of roles, right up until my fourth pregnancy.

My husband and I finally tied the knot in August 2022 after being engaged for 12 years, and it was while planning our own backyard wedding that this journey began. I created all of the floral arrangements myself, discovering just how much I loved designing wedding flowers and bringing a vision to life.

Prime Petals was born from that experience — a passion for creating beautiful, modern wedding florals that couples can treasure long after their day is over. I specialize in artificial and silk wedding flowers, designing bouquets, buttonholes, arrangements, and styling pieces that look incredibly realistic while offering a lasting alternative to fresh flowers.

Based in Christchurch, I work with couples from all over Aotearoa to create wedding florals that feel personal, elegant, and completely unique to their day.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been meeting so many incredible couples and working alongside talented, supportive wedding vendors. Being trusted with such an important part of someone’s wedding day is something I never take for granted.
